I designed and added the ability to customize categories in Pleo, enabling finance teams to match any chart of accounts with categories to simplify their accounting process from purchase to export. Previously, Pleo had a fixed list of categories that couldn't be edited, leading to extra manual work for finance teams after exporting data.

Split VAT

Enabled finance teams split, track and accurately calculate the tax from a purchase with different kinds of line items – that (from a bookkeeping standpoint) are meant to have different tax codes, within Pleo. Previous to this, the state of the product prevented bookkeepers to have an accurate picture in regards to tax within Pleo, forcing them to deal with this part of the process outside the platform – delaying and creating more manual work before reconciliation. Because of this, Pleo wasn’t as “easy to sell” due to redundant work it created for finance teams.
